MIami, Florida - Charles Patrick Carroll, "Charlie" passed away early Wednesday morning October 25, 2023 with his wife by his side. He was 84.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Jeanie Daniel Duck; his children and their spouses Sarah Carroll Hydon and Rob Hydon, Tim Carroll and Laurie Gold Carroll; his stepdaughter Jennifer Duck; his grandchildren Charlie Carroll, Jay Carroll, Mackenzie Hydon, and Avery Hydon; his sister Rosalyn Carroll Kraft and nephews Joseph and Robert Kraft.

Charlie was born on July 18, 1939, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Rose K. and Walter C. Carroll. He graduated from Cretin High School. He went on to earn his B.A. at Providence College, and his J.D. at Northwestern University. He was a member of the Bar in Minnesota and Illinois. Charlie loved the law and believed strongly in his role as client advocate.

Charlie and Jeanie married June 20th, 1980. For over 45 years they built their unshakable bond, delighted in one another, and supported each other's careers. Charlie was an accomplished athlete and an enthusiastic boater living on or near the water in Excelsior, Minnesota, Chicago, Illinois, and Coral Gables, Florida.

His memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, November 19, 2023, at 1:00 pm, at Plymouth Congregational Church in Coconut Grove, Florida. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Charlie's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in his name. The family would like to thank the amazing staff of South Miami Hospital for their skill and dedication in caring for Charlie and all his loving friends, family and the Deering Bay community who have been so incredibly supportive through this challenging time.
