ELENA GURWITZ WECK

WECK, ELENA GURWITZ December 4, 1936-May 20, 2012 Elena, a much-loved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend passed away quietly in her home at the age of 75. Born in Havana, Cuba, she lived a full life. She was a strong woman and the heart and soul of her family. Together, Elena and her husband David created a family whose bonds set the example for her entire community. She will always be remembered as a woman of valor and a preserver of tradition. She loved the Arts and instilled the importance of culture and music unto her family. As a member of many Jewish and Greater-Miami community organizations, her smile and fun- loving personality always reached everyone in the room. She is survived by her devoted husband David, her children Diana and Steven Berenson, Elizabeth and Andrew Allocco, Jennifer Weck, her sister Gena Wodnicki, her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her community. The funeral will be at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22, at Levitt Weinstein- Blasberg Rubin Zilbert Funeral Chapel, 720 71st street Miami Beach, FL 33141. Shiva will be at her home Tuesday evening through Thursday evening. Morning minyans will be at Temple Menorah at 8:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Temple Menorah.
