Elizabeth Vega Obituary

Vega, Elizabeth A., 54, of Miami Florida, passed away November 13, 2009. She was born on October 24, 1955 to Donald & Anne Savino. She is survived by her husband Sam, daughter Jennifer, mother Anne and brothers Don and Mark. She was a well respected employee of Dade County Schools since 1976. She collected antiques and found great joy in going to garage sales and antique shows in search of them. She considered her pets as her children and she supported multiple animal rescue organizations. In lieu of flowers, it was Beth's wish to consider making a donation to her favorite charity www.thecatnetwork.org. A celebration of her life will be held on January 31, 2010. Please contact Jennifer at 704-622-0653.

Liz,
You are missed; it has been a little over 2 months since your passing. It does not seem possible. I am so thankful for having known you and being a part of the family; you always made me feel welcomed. I was blessed to spend time and talk with you those last 7 weeks; what courage and strength you showed during this difficult time. You are an inspiration to us all.

Mrs. Vega has a special place in my heart. Not a day passes that I don’t think about her and all around my classroom there are memories of her.
I miss her very much! She was a friend, a mother figure and she loved her job. She is irreplaceable!

Mrs. Vega always brought a smile to my face. We had so many chats about God and the ups & downs of life. She was an encourager, and she made my days at work better just by being here. I miss her so much, but I know where she is; and I know she knew where she was going.
Love eternally,
Kimberly Davis (COPE SOUTH school nurse)

Elizabeth was a very nice person. I knew her from working with her at J.R.E. Lee Opportunity School and Dorothy M. Wallace COPE Center. She always had a cheerful attitude and a kind smile. I will miss her very much.
