Coral Gables, Florida - Dr. Felix Sesín, 88, of Coral Gables, Florida passed away on January 10, 2023. He died peacefully of natural causes, surrounded by family and loved ones. He had battled Parkinson's disease for over 15 years. Born in Matanzas, Cuba he graduated from the University of Havana with a degree in medicine. He went on to practice cardiology in the city of Matanzas where he met and married Carmen Palacio Sesín. A decade after Cuba's 1959 revolution, Felix fled to Lebanon, his parents' native country. After a short stay in Beirut, he went on to West New York, New Jersey where he settled, had three children, and resumed his career as a doctor. Felix was known for helping everyone around him, providing emotional, financial or any other support within his power. As a doctor, he was dedicated to his patients, often offering free services to those who couldn't afford medical attention. With time, he also developed a successful real estate investment career. He was a kind and loving partner to his wife and he gave absolutely everything he had to his children. His unique humor often had people on their knees with laughter. Felix is survived by his wife as well as his children, Carlos, Martha and Carmen. He also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and a large extended family. He is immensely loved and missed. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 14 at 9am at Vior Funeral located at 291 NW 37th Ave, Miami Fla 33125. It will be followed by the burial at Flagler Memorial Park located at 5301 W Flagler St., Miami, Fla. 33134.
