Mr Ratchford was my teacher in middle school from ,71 thru 74....he took us on field trips and to chess matches in his green Chevy....can you imagine Mr. R and 7 preteens in one car? Needless to say he was my favorite teacher. This little kid, now 60 years old, misses Mr. Frank T. Ratchford....I remember the T but never knew what it stood for. He was a great American, too.

I am sorry for your loss. My mother Lila Carithers also taught school at Edison and car pooled with Frank as we lived in SW Miami at the time. He was such a really nice man.
