Greg was a great person. As a a husband and father he was always loving and caring. As a banking executive he was wise and always a available to provide advise and inquire from all of us "the how to" better practice to complete a project. I will never forget how he gave a young devastated man coming off a layoff from Barnett Bank an opportunity to supervise his Operations Department, not only based on expertise but character. That devastated man lacking confidence but with tremendous drive is now a business owner selling and supporting over 1,000 merchant service customers, that man is ME!!! Thank you Greg for that opportunity, I will never gorget it and I will never forget you. REST IN PIECE ALWAYS!! Until we see each other again.

I have so many, many good memories of Greg, for I was there in the beginning, the beginning of his love affair with my sister, Mary Ellen. I had so many firsts with him, first time I played putt putt golf, or the time he took me to taste my first Burger King whooper (of which he made me try) to Greg and Mary Ellen accompying me and my husband, Bill, on our honeymoon. I knew Greg love me because he gave me the gift of watching his boys when he and Mary Ellen went away on business trips, I will always cherish my memories of Greg. I knew he loved my sister not only because he always told me but also by showing his feeligs for her, always complimenting her and hugging and kissing her.
He had a great life, enjoyed life and he will always be in my heart.
Bill and I looked forward to our move to Florida to finally be by family and spending time with Greg & Mary Ellen.
My family will truly miss him.

Mary Ellen, John, Chris and family.
I am so deeply sorry to lose such a wonderful friend. I have thought of you and Greg so much since leaving Florida in 1983. Working with Greg at Fidelity National Bank in Miami was a highlight of my life. He inspired and guided me in my career in so many ways, as you are aware. Heeding his advice payed me double fold. Over the years he always loved to reminisce of the days when both our families went on picnics and fishing trips as we watched John, Chris, Doree and Debbie grow up to be wonderful adults. Greg will always be in our hearts. May God bless and keep you all.
With Love,

Mary Ellen,
I never met you, however seeing the pictures he always had of his family, in particular, of you, and the memories he spoke of during our business meetings, showed how much he loved all of you, in addition to, his true worth as a man. I met Greg when I was looking for a job in 1987 during his tenure at Professional Savings Bank. Although he truly did not need a person with my experience he found a way to hire me and eventually place me in a position that helped me and the bank. I was still relatively young and aggressive, however, Greg was more mature and very methodical, this drove me crazy, but in a short time I realized his way was the right way. He seldom became angry but was well aware of his surroundings, never heard him raise his voice, but was loud and clear in his directions and when I needed something he was always there. He cared about people but was somewhat of an introvert, he enjoyed his job never gave himself credit, he always thanked others, always gave preference to God and family and he taught by example not by fear. As it happens often, we lost contact when we left Professional, however, I will always hold a special place in my heart for him because he showed a value not found in many, he was genuine and caring. His former business associates have lost a true and ethical friend and those he touched in a more personal way lost a mentor that was always giving even when he didn't give, benevolent when he reprimanded and thoughtful just because. I know I will miss him in my special way, but I know he is in a happier place today looking down on us with his hand in his back pocket and a smile in his face saying "it's OK we"ll get through this"...... Greg may you rest in peace and may God bless you and always keep you near His ever loving breathe, Regards....

My very dearest Mary Ellen, I just don't know what to say. The distance that was created when you both moved to Florida did not make me love you any less. I cannot express what I feel inside. My memories of Greg, John and of course you are many. We did so many stupid and crazy things when I think about it, it's amazing that we've lasted this long. Your life with Greg was good, you bore him two beautiful sons and three grandchildren. Mary Ellen, our love goes out to you and the boys

Greg was a very special person to us. As a friend, he was a treasure. I remember meeting Greg for the first time over 47 years ago in front of the Empire State Building when Mary Ellen introduced me to her new boyfriend. I remember a tall, good looking, smiling man in a business suit. I remember their first apartment. I remember when their first son Chris was born. I am happy I was there to share in the beginning of Greg and Mary Ellen's life together. We will always share in those happy memories.
Greg was always a gentleman, kind and interested in everyone. If he didn't have anything positive to say about someone, he didn't say anything at all - something very rare indeed. He had a zest for life and always saw the glass half full. He was an inspiration to us and set an example of how we all should live our lives. He fought the good fight when he became ill, always looking ahead, never complaining, never giving up. He was the bravest person we ever saw. His example made you feel that no matter what problems you were facing, you could get through it. If he could face his problems with dignity and bravery, so could you.
The special times we shared on vacations over the years were when we grew to love, admire and respect Greg for the person that he was. We could see by his actions how much he loved Mary Ellen and how proud he was of his sons and grandchildren. We are so thankful for the time we spent with him these last few years. We knew the time was precious and so,we quietly tucked the memories deep into our hearts. His friendship was truly a gift to us and as a tribute to him, we will try to follow his example in our lives. He will always be in our prayers and he will never be forgotten.
We love you Mary Ellen. You will always be important and special in our lives. We wish we could be with you. We send our love and prayers to you and your family.
