I am deeply sorry for your loss both family and those of you who worked with Barbara for so many years. I was happy to run in to her quite a few times at Mass and will always remember how she would have helped you out any way she could. It is with sadness that we lose a member of our class of 61.
May she rest in the arms of our loving God.

To "U.H."'s Family,

Erin, Cole and I lost an uncle and a friend. We were so blessed to be a part of his world. Our friendship was so great and was validated upon meeting his friends this past week as I would introduce us as Erin and Philip and friends would say, "from Baton Rouge." Wonderful part of this, I knew the friends names and parts of their lives too. He treated friends like family and family like friends. We will miss our good friend. We love you all down in Florida and will stay in touch. Take care and be leery of jelly beans.

Love,

Philip Erin and Cole Mayeux

Donna and Cathy and family,

Kirk and I were very sad to hear that you Dad passed away. I am sure that it was wonderful to live so close and be able to spend time with him as the children grew up. Grandads are so special to children and I know that your father must have enjoyed that role so much.

All our thoughts and prayers are with you both today and going forward. I know that you will miss him so much, but remember what terrific daughters you were to him and how proud he was of you both.

Love,

Michele and Kirk

Dear Jennings family, My wife Allison and I were so very saddened to hear of Harold's passing. He interviewed me and was my first boss at the Miami Beach Police Dept. It was rough for me at the beginning, but Harold helped me through it all and made it easier also. I liked working with and for him very much. I liked him as a person, a good caring family man. Our hearts go out to all his family and friends.I,too, will miss him very much.

Dear Donna and Cathy,

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your father. For the few months that I've known him, I've come to appreciate his presence. He was always polite and very kind-hearted. I will miss him, but am thankful that I did get to meet him.

Dear Cathy and Donna,

I am so sorry to hear that your father and my Uncle Harold passed away. When someone loses a father, or anyone dear to them, it is hard to put into words how to express emotions. I too have lost a dear father and to tell you what helped me and still does to this day, is sometimes a simple pat of the hand, touch of a shoulder or a warm hug offered by someone who cares is worth more than words could ever mean. So during this time and difficult times ahead, remember those "simple pats" and embrace their meaning. Take hold of the wonderful memories you have and lean on them when those times come. We have never met but have something in common, so consider yourselves hugged and use them whenever you want, supply is unlimited!

Take care of yourselves and know that you and your families will be in my thoughts and prayers, always.

Not only did I work with Harold at Miami Beach, but he was a friend of my husband, John Woods. They shared much fun together and sent each other crazy letters. Any one knowing Harold would understand the humor. He will be greatly missed.

Big Brother, you have been such a wonderful friend. We will miss the fun and laughter but we are rich with the memories of great family times together. Making soup on a winter's day will make me want to call you to discuss the merits of homemade soup! You are loved.
