Harry Ross Obituary

ROSS, HARRY M., 96, of Miami, Florida, passed away on April 10, 2007. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he graduated from St. Johns School of Law and practiced for nine years in New York. He married the love of his life, Lillian, before entering the U.S. Army during World War II as a member of the Judge Advocate at Drew Field in Tampa. Upon discharge from the Army, he moved to Miami where he happily lived for 61 years. To practice law in Florida, Harry was then required to attend law school for a second time. In 1953, he graduated cum laude from the University of Miami Law School. He built a very successful practice as an attorney for the insurance industry in personal injury cases until he retired at the age of 75. Harry was married for 56 years and is now re-united with his beloved wife Lillian, to whom he was forever devoted. A loving father and grandfather with a wonderful sense of humor, he is survived by his children Susan, Stefanie Schinoff (Richard) and David (Jeffrey Hecht) and granddaughters Amy and Beth Schinoff. He and his family have always had enormous gratitude for Carmen Sauer and Aracely Concepcion for their devoted friendship and care over the last nine years. Services will be held on Thurs- day, April 12 at 2:30 PM at Levitt- Weinstein Memorial Chapels, 5900 SW 77th Avenue, Miami, Florida. Dona-tions in his name can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. To visit this Guest Book Online, go to www.MiamiHerald.com/obituaries.

Harry and Lillian were and will always be a part of my life. Our families met in the mid 1940's when we were all "newcomers" to Miami. Harry was bright, funny and such good company. He will never be forgotten. Bree Berzok Robin

My deepest simpathy to Mr Ross's family. It was 9 great years of dedication to someone who loved life and his children. You will live in our hearts forever!
God bless you in Heaven!

Had the pleasure of cutting Harry`s hair for many years, up to my retirement two years ago. He was a gentleman and class act.
