JOSEPH KEMSEY Obituary

KEMSEY, JOSEPH JOHN, 84, of Greensburg, PA, formerly of North Miami Beach, FL since the early 50's, died Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at home. He was born Aug. 18, 1926, in Greensburg, a son of the late Joseph Kemsey and Anna Mary Yanosko Kemsey. He was the owner of Kemsey Ballroom Dance Studio in North Miami Beach, Fla. Joseph attended St. Vincent College. He was a founding member of the CYO of Greensburg. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years, Esther Jean Shufelt Kemsey; a daughter, Carol Jean Chatlos; a granddaughter, Martha Jean Williams; his twin brother, Charles Kemsey; and his sister, Nancy Ann Kemsey. He is survived by his four children, Kathryn Randle, of Cape May, N.J., William J. Chatlos and his wife, Janet, of Longwood, Fla., Michele Roach, of Winter Springs, Fla., and Joy D'Arata and her daughter, Tatiana, with whom he resided; 16 grandchildren, Darin, Gene, Cindee, Chad, Todd, Brett, Walter Jr., Wendy, Billy, Tim, Kimberly, Jeffrey, Cherlyn, Brianne, Richard Jr. and Tatiana; 24 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a brother, James Kemsey and his wife, Dolores, of Greensburg; special nieces and nephews, Colin Kemsey and his wife, Tina, Marla Kemsey, James Kemsey Jr. and his wife, Kayo, and Kevin Kemsey and his wife, Shari; and six great-nieces and a great-nephew. Services were held in Greensburg, PA. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday May 25 in Baldwin Fairchild Cemetery, Sandford, FL.
