JULIAN LEHMAN

LEHMAN, JULIAN, 92, passed away August 17, 2011. Julian lived a good and full life because he deserved it and his conduct and values and elegance enriched every one fortunate enough to be associated with him. He was a protector of his country as a World War II veteran at the Battle of the Bulge and a protector and a lover of his family. He was a builder of men and women and started one of Miami's oldest family businesses, Lehman Pipe and Plumbing Supply, which he started a day after taking off his uniform with $2,500 that his wife, Betty, had saved and a few dollars he won from shooting dice on the troopship home. Together with his son, Dennis, this "little family business in Miami" now spans acres of inventory and is respected throughout the United States and Latin America as a model for the wholesale supply business. He leaves a legacy of people who love him and will never forget him, which include the love of his life for 70 years, his wife, Betty, sons Richard (Ellen) and Dennis (Penny), four grandchildren, David (Dalya) and Ari (Becky), Nicole (Richard) and Heidi and six great grandchildren, Jacob, Jaden, Kai, Anna, Zachary and Benjamin, who all got to know him and love him.
