Miami, Florida - After a courageous 2.5 year battle with ovarian cancer, Kristine Hansen Corbin of Coconut Grove passed on June 18, 2025. Kris was married to the true love of her life, husband Byrne Lawrence Corbin, and was fiercely devoted to their young son, Byrne John Corbin. She is predeceased by her parents, John and Barbara Hansen of Farmingville, NY; and her brother John Hansen, Jr., also of Farmingville. Kris is survived by her adoring sisters, Kimberly Hiltner of Arnold, MD and Karen Hansen of Scituate, MA; her brother-in-law John Miller, Jr; and her beloved nephews and niece, Nick and Ben Lappen, and Andy, Ryan, and Riley Hiltner. She will be deeply missed by her parents-in-law Jim and Jan Corbin of Ft. Myers, FL; brother-in-law James Corbin, Jr. of Mansfield, MA; and brother-in-law Greg Corbin and his wife Mal, of Duxbury, MA.

Kris was a talented artist and athlete, but mostly, she was widely loved for her vivacious personality, unflagging kindness, authenticity, and fun-loving spirit. She grew up on Long Island, and after graduating from Syracuse University, she lived for many years in New York City where she worked as a computer graphics artist for CBS and Fox. An avid skier, swimmer, and scuba diver, Kris spent as much time as possible enjoying the mountains and coasts of New England. By the time she moved to Miami in 2008, she had made many friends all up and down the East Coast, and beyond. The family is grateful that so many of them recently traveled to Scituate to celebrate Kris' beautiful life. Now, her Miami family and friends are invited to join us at a memorial service to be held on Wednesday, August 6 at 11am at Plymouth Congregational Church, 3400 Devon Rd, Miami.
