I was in Vicki Lane's writing class with Ricki. She was an intelligent and vibrant woman. Ricki was kind and encouraging to me. The memoir she had begun working on was excellent and it is a loss to all that she didn't get the chance to finish it. My heart goes out to her family and friends. I am sorry for your loss.

I met Ricki at the WomenHeart Science and Leadership Symposium in 2009. I enjoyed the brief time that I spent with her, and I just wanted to share that I will be praying for her family during this very difficult time. Not only was she a highly intelligent and accomplished woman, but she was also just plain nice and friendly, as well. What a lovely combination...

As a WomenHeart Champion, Ricki fought hard against this number one killer of women. Through her advocacy, support and leadership she gave hope and help to those of us who share her journey. God bless you Ricki for your valiant efforts; you are gone far too soon and will be dearly missed. We vow to keep fighting.

Ricki and I were HeartSisters in San Francisco. We both advocated for awareness for women's heart disease. She loved her children and was a very accomplished woman. I am so sorry I didn't get the chance to know her more. My heart goes out to her family.
