Saul Rubinstein

Rubinstein, Saul, 91, passed away quietly in his home in North Miami Beach on Monday, March 9, 2015. He was the beloved husband of the late Eunice Rubinstein, loving brother to Florence Stulmin and the late Milton Rubinstein. He is survived by his four children, Dr. Mitchel Rubinstein, Candi (Paul) Sudack, Dr. Stuart (Bonnie) Rubinstein, and Esta (Joseph) Izhakoff. Known as "Poppy" to his eight grandchildren, Alison Borkin (Josh), Peter, Spencer, Jessica, Elana, Nicole, Gabrielle, and Adam, and his two great-grandchildren, Marley and Joey. The son of Polish immigrants, Saul came to the United States as an infant. He learned the shoe trade from his father and eventually ran a successful retail and real estate business in the Brighton Beach neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. Saul enjoyed life to its fullest, appreciating all that he had, but most importantly, his family. He was forever proud of all his children and their offspring, and he cherished the fact that he was able to be a great-grandfather. His comforting and sound advice, colorful storytelling, and use of the Yiddish language will never be forgotten. His final sentiments were that life was beautiful. He will be truly missed by all those who had the good fortune of knowing him, and his loving memory will remain in our minds and hearts forever. In addition, the family would like to express their overwhelming gratitude to his devoted aide, Patricia Clarke, for the impeccable care she gave Saul these last few years.
