Miami, Florida - Steven Allen Schultz, 81, passed away peacefully at his home on February 22, 2022. He was born in New York City on January 29, 1941 to Matilda and Stephen Schultz. Steven was predeceased by his wife Madlyn and by his son Andrew.
Steven graduated with honors from the University of Florida Law School in 1967, where he served as a director of the UF Law Review. After graduation, he became associated with the Miami law firm Smathers & Thompson. There, he developed an expertise in state and local taxation, representing major airlines such as Pan Am. In 1977, the Miami Dade County Value Adjustment Board engaged Steven to serve as its General Counsel, where he proudly served for many years. He was recognized statewide as an expert and lecturer in property taxation.
Steven is survived by his son Scott (wife Tiffany); by his daughter Jaime Krohn (husband David); and two grandchildren Brandon and Lindsey.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 25 at 1pm at Lakeside Memorial Park, 10301 NW 25 St, Miami.
