Nancy Gallegly Obituary

We were blessed to have Nancy with us for 79 wonderful years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Nancy is survived by her two children; Robin and Michael, five grandchildren; Morgan, Kris, Bailey, Brooklyn, and Robbianna, and her sister, Susie. Nancy also loved and was very close to her brother-in-law, John, and her niece and nephew, Shannon and Chris.

Nancy was a dedicated and doting mother who, with her husband, Buck, worked tirelessly and sacrificed all their lives in order to provide their family with everything they needed, while securing them a brighter future. Family was always central in her life and her children will never forget her loving hugs and affection.

Nancy will be best remembered for her (S)mothering love to her children and husband; you were never too old for her to refer to you as her Baby. Her early life as a slalom waterskiing, bikini-modelling, beach going girl in Southern California made her the envy of many. She is Disneyland Royalty, as her uncle, who helped build Disneyland, took her to the park opening day for friends and family of Walt Disney in July of 1955.

Her red, permed hairdo, was her beautiful signature look. We'll always remember her giving us our haircuts, giving our father his secret Perm while hiding in our home laundry room, her 151-rum-punch-inspired limbo while she and Dad were on their cruise, the way she swam in the swimming pool in order to protect her hairdo, her warm smile, and her dedication to her family. She was an integral part of a large family unit, which was fortunate enough to have a storybook relationship for decades, providing all of us with such fond, warm memories of love and happiness.

She is dearly loved and will forever be missed.
