Herman L. "Jack" Yokley

1933 - 2016

YOKLEY, Herman L. "Jack," age 82 of Winchester, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at Southern TN Regional Health System Winchester. He was born on July 21, 1933, to the late Dallas Yokley and Nettie Gass Yokley. He was a self-employed contractor and enjoyed hunting, woodworking and carpentry his whole life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sadie M. Champion Yokley; daughter, Patricia Alene Yokley; son, Jackie Yokley; brother, Reuben Yokley; sisters, Mary Adams and Inez Yokley; grandson, Kenny Dallas Yokley; and great-granddaughter, Meridith Johnson. Survivors include his children, Janie (Fred) Brooks of St. Louis, Mo., Jim (Sandy) Yokley of Sewanee, Daniel Hank (Denice) Yokley of Cowan, Donna Lynn Yokley of Sewanee and Penny (Parks) Chasteen of Waverly; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; special nephew, Joe Yokley of Winchester; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at 2 p.m. in the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rudy Wilkinson officiating.
