ASHLEY, James Harvey, age 74 of Estill Springs, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016. He was born on April 7, 1942, in Winchester to the late Lloyd and Minnie Ashley. He had served in the U.S. Army and worked as a drywall contractor. He loved fishing and hunting, watching westerns and eating ice cream, his favorite snack. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Lee Petty and Lou Jean Clark, brother, Ted Ashley and grandson, Jeremy Partin. Survivors include his wife, Vicky Ashley of Estill Springs; daughters, Robyn Ashley of Decherd, Angie (Dennis) Morris of Tullahoma, Becky (Tim) Partin of Decherd and Jennifer Towry of Estill Springs; sons, James Ashley of Shelbyville, Judd (Sherry) Ashley of Winchester and Jameson Ashley of Estill Springs; grandchildren, Patricia Lawrence, Miranda Dotson, Kristy Morris, Joshua Morris, Whitney Morris, Coleton Morris, Triston Morris, Jessica Partin, Jay Ashley, Colin Ashley, Caitlin Toothman, Madison Towry and Chase Towry; great-grandchildren, Anntaleigha Morris, Olivia Morris, Aubrey Ashley, Keauna Lawrence and Kara Lee Lawrence; sister, Doris (Bill) Gill of Connecticut, Elaine (John) Janey of Belvidere and Sue Nagle of Nashville; and brothers, Dan Ashley of Georgia and Gary Ashley of Winchester. Visitation with the family was held on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, at 2 p.m. in the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in the Farris Chapel Cemetery.
