Kenneth Coker Obituary

COKER, Kenneth Darryl, age 52, of Estill Springs, departed this life on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga, following a brief illness. Mr. Coker was born in Winchester on Oct. 19, 1965, to the late Jessie Hullin Coker and Betty Frances Hammer Coker. He was disabled. He last attended the Decherd Nazarene Church. Mr. Coker enjoyed fishing and riding bicycles with his granddaughter. He was an avid football fan. His favorite teams were the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Tennessee Vols. He may have been small in stature but he had a large heart. In addition to his parents, Mr. Coker was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Coker. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Coker of Estill Springs; son, Jessie Coker of Memphis; daughter, Felicia Coker of Estill Springs; sisters, Sherry Ann Ray of Estill Springs and Karen Williams and husband Clayton of Decherd; and four grandchildren, Carlos Coker, Destiny Coker, Kensley Coker and Dyllon Coker. Visitation for Mr. Coker will be held on Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services in Estill Springs. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Brian Nave officiating. Interment will follow in the Cowan Montgomery Cemetery.
