Mattie Jernigan Obituary

JERNIGAN, Mattie Jane Hall, age 78 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Southern Tennessee Regional Healthy System Winchester. She was born on Feb. 15, 1940, to the late Thomas Odell Franklin and Mattie May Rollins Franklin. She was a homemaker and a member of the Capitol Hill Church of Christ. She enjoyed quilting, collecting dolls and figurines, cooking, canning and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Hall; sisters, Bittie and Raffie; and brothers, Bill, Jim, Ed, Randolph, Dewey and Jack. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Ronny) McKnight of Winchester; granddaughter, Chasity (Chris) Smith of Estill Springs; great-grandchildren, Lexie and Lacie Smith; brother, Albert (Bonnie) Franklin; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 27, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Mt. Garner Cemetery in Decherd.
