Maurice C. Ryan

RYAN, Maurice C., age 80 of Franklin County, passed away on Wednesday April 26, 2017, at Lifecare Tullahoma. Mr. Ryan is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ruth Mittelstadt Ryan; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Gary Cox of Gray, Tennessee; son and daughter-in-law, James and Pamela Ryan of Manchester; granddaughter, Elizabeth Ryan; great-grandson, Jacob Ryan of Cookeville; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Anton Dreher; niece, Levada Beck; and nephew and wife, Robert and Deborah Easley, all of Columbia. Mr. Ryan retired in 1991, after serving 33 years in the U.S. Public Health Services. In retirement, he was proud to be a member of the Tennessee Woodworkers Club. He made over 100 items of furniture and decorative arts for family, friends and the community. He was an avid reader and fisherman. A memorial service will be conducted at Watson-North Funeral Home on Sunday, June 25, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Bill Midgett officiating.
