Patricia Ann Simone

1944 - 2017

SIMONE, Patricia Ann Leggett Cooley, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, in Dayton, Ohio. Pat was born to Dorothy Leggett Corn on April 24, 1944, in Winchester, TN. Pat attended Townsend School in Franklin County and finished her schooling in Indianapolis, Indiana. Pat met and married Alfred Cooley and with that union three daughters were born, Ursula, Carmen and Stacy, all of Dayton, Ohio. Pat spent most of her adult life in Dayton, Ohio and worked for General Motors and other businesses in Dayton, Ohio. Pat united with Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church in Winchester on Shepherd Street and later joining Canaan Missionary Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Elvin Leggett Dartis; father, Otis Corn; brother, Marvin Leroy Leggett; and cousins, Charles Leggett, Barbara Ginglee, Stacy Cooley and Rayleah Chappel. In addition to her three daughters, she leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Dorothy Leggett Corn of Winchester; brother, Carl E. Leggett of Winchester; nephews, Carl Jr. of Winchester and Brian and Marvin, both of California; nieces, Lelisee, Stephanie and Tiffany, all of Winchester, Katicha of Tullahoma and Crystal and Lataish of Indianapolis, Indiana; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Veronica Leggett and Gwen Leggett; friends, Cynthia Ripple, Bernice Baker, Marie Trigg and Marcell Trigg, all of Dayton, Ohio, Betty Mason, Charles Hill, Dimple Simmons, Carolyn Nelson, Chubby Bonner and Kay Young, all of Winchester and Lassie Taylor of Belvidere; and her very devoted friend, Diamond Jackson of Dayton, Ohio. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, from noon to 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church on Hunt Street with funeral services following at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in the Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester.
