1945 - 2017

KELLEY, Roger Dale, age 72, went to be with our loving Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 12, 2017. He was born on Feb. 19, 1945, one of 14 children born to the late Murrell Author Kelley (father) and Claudie Elizabeth (Gipson) Kelley (mother). He was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Smith, Iliene Reed, Murvine Jernigan and Sally Jane Turner and brothers, Vergle Kelley, Joe Kelley, Glen Kelley and Levoid "Fats" Kelley. He is survived by his wife, Anita (Caudle) Kelley; sons, Roger Kelley Jr. (Eve) of Michigan, Jeff Kelley of Winchester and Timothy Kelley (Shannon) of Estill Springs; daughter, Shelley Seig (Mike, whom he thought of as a son) of Tullahoma; grandchildren, Amanda Kelley of Michigan, Clayton Seig (fiancé Ashley Beaver), Shaylen "Football" Seig, Dakota Kelley, Gavin Kelley, Justus Kelley; brothers, Tommy Kelley (Shelia), Roy Kelley (Sandra) and Gordon Kelley (Brenda); sisters, Mary Louise Anderson and Janett Gains; and several nieces and nephews including special nephew James Reed (Hoggie) and many friends. Roger was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Baptist Church. He was a very loving and kind man who loved his family dearly. He was the best "Pop-Pop" there ever was and worked hard all of his life. He will be greatly missed. Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at 1 p.m. in the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Mount Garner Cemetery in Decherd.
