Terry Phillip Short

SHORT, Terry Phillip, (April 15, 1957 - May 10, 2016), age 59, of Manchester, died on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga. He was born on April 15, 1957, in Winchester, the son of the late James Lewis Short Sr. and Zethel Christine Clayton Short. Mr. Short was a carpenter at Sain Construction Company. He loved reading and discussing Scriptures, working with wood, music and playing the guitar and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a member of the New Union Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by one brother, Sam Short of Manchester. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Donna Pearson Short of Manchester; one son, Matthew DeWayne (Laura) Short of Georgia; one daughter, Jessica Marlene (Adam) Perry of North Carolina; three brothers, James "Jim" (Rita) Short Jr. of Wartrace, John Timothy (Henrietta) Short of North Carolina and Randy (Kathy) Short of Brazil; two sisters, Peggy (William) Womack and Betty (Arthur) Ruch, both of Winchester; grandchildren, Samuel Vanden Bergh, Kacy Vanden Bergh, Leanna Perry and Kaylee Perry and Braxton Short; a special sister-in-law, Lisa Short of Manchester; special nephew, Ethan Short of Manchester; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the New Union Church of Christ. Memorial services will be conducted on Friday, May 13, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the New Union Church of Christ with Bro. Charles Williams officiating. Manchester Funeral Home, 214 E.
