Bobby Lee Pinion
Bobby Lee Pinion was born on November 17, 1929, in Gunter, Texas to Marvin M. and Beatrice Pinion. He entered his heavenly home on June 12, 2021. Bob graduated from Dorchester High School in 1947. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953. He retired from IBM in 1991 after 25 years of employment.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and brother Monroe Pinion.
He is survived by his wife, Lula Margaret (Marge) of 70 years. He is also survived by daughter Karen Cantrell and husband Tommy of Bluff Dale, TX; daughter Donna Wilson and husband Sam of Flower Mound, TX; grandson Chris Keating (Stephanie) of Fort Worth, granddaughters Meredith Bird (Jordan) of Aiken, SC, and Melanie Greer (Gavin) of Flower Mound. Step grandchildren: Peyton Berry (Jeremiah) of Bluff Dale and Alex Cantrell (Ashley) of Ft. Worth. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren: Zoey, Sam, Isaac, and Zachary Bird, McKennah, Katie and Owen Greer, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Sherman and Adult II Coed Class. Bob took great joy in his family and treasured his family time.
The family would like to express gratitude to Dr. Benson and the nurses at WNJ Hospital.
Memorials may be made to the ministry of your choice at First Baptist Church of Sherman.
Visitation will be held Tuesday June 15, 2021, from 1-2pm in the Chapel of First Baptist Church of Sherman, services will begin at 2pm. Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman.
Rev. Steve Rice and Pastor Jordan Bird will officiate.
