Genny Wiedemann Obituary

Genny Wiedemann, 86, died at her residence in Sherman on Friday, Oct. 9, 2009. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Cedar Hill, Texas with Rev. Van Lazaroff officiating. The family will be at the church from 6 -8 p.m. on Monday. Arrangements are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home.
Genny was born on Dec. 10, 1923. Preceded in death by one of her grandchildren, Jennifer Michelle Johnson, she is survived by her loving husband and soulmate of 63 years, Phil; her daughters, Beverly and Glen Blake, and Kat and Gene Johnson; son Rob and Karen Wiedemann; grandchildren, Julie and Matt Muirhead, Jodie and Mike Nunnenkamp, Jena Schafer, Kris and Stephanie Krol; great-grandchildren Tyler Nunnenkamp, Brycen Muirhead, Rachel Nunnenkamp, Coleman Muirhead, Laney Muirhead, Faith Nunnenkamp, Devon Wiedemann, Nicole Wiedemann and Casey Krol; sisters, Bernice McGee of Cotton Valley, La., Grace Moore of Helena, MT, Ann Permenter of Forest, Va., and Johnnie Dean of Huxley; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
NUNA was and will continue to be an inspiration to her loving family: We will always treasure her wonderful gardens of flowers and vegetables, her wonderful faith in God, her marriage to dad and the relationship they had together for all to see and the love and the strength they exuded. This strength and love was evident up to the time of her passing. What mom will also do for us in heaven is to prepare the soil for us to plant with her. The peace that we have is that she will also be joined in the wonderful chain of our family in heaven. What a beautiful link she is. We love you.
Memorials may be made to Home Hospice of Grayson County, 505 W. Center St., Sherman, TX 75090; or First United Methodist Church of Cedar Hills, 106 N. Roberts, Cedar Hills, TX 75104.
