Jared Murray Taylor, 29, of Providence Village, TX, died Sunday, November 29, 2015. He was born in Sherman, TX on April 4, 1986, to Jerry Ray Taylor and Suzanne Murray Meadows. He was married to Kristi Collins on February 19, 2010 in McKinney, TX. Jared was a graduate of Allen High School and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Texas in 2013. He taught 7th grade Texas History at Navo Middle School in Denton ISD. Jared was a loving husband, father, friend, and mentor. His sense of humor and kind heart made him a friend to all. He loved hiking, camping, fishing, singing, historical trivia, and making everyone laugh. He loved being a teacher and making a difference, big or small, in the lives of his students.

He is survived by his wife, Kristi Taylor, and one-year-old son, Everett Murray Taylor, both of Providence Village, TX; his mother, Suzanne Murray Meadows of Sherman, TX; and his father and step-mother, Jerry and Susan Taylor, of Coleman, Oklahoma.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 6 pm - 8 pm at the Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, TX. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 2 pm at First Baptist Denton, 1100 Malone St., Denton, TX, with Brad Cockrell officiating.
