MARLENE NELSON Alice Marlene Nelson passed away on August 21, 2023, in Richardson, Texas at the age of 83. She was born to George and Eva (Vann) Kersting on July 10, 1940, in Laredo, Texas. Marlene is survived by her sons, Steve Nelson (LaNell) of Wylie, Texas; David Nelson (Laurie) of McKinney, Texas; and Todd Nelson (Amy) of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Ashton Nelson of McKinney, Texas, Collin Nelson of McKinney, Texas, Brendan Nelson of McKinney, Texas, Olivia Nelson of Los Angeles, California, Sabrina Nelson of Plano, Texas, Robbie Strauch (Shannon) of Fort Worth, Texas, and Justin Strauch (Martha) of Wylie, Texas; great-grandchildren, Lillian Strauch of Fort Worth, Texas, Liam Strauch of Fort Worth, Texas, and Audie Strauch of Wylie, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Christopher Carl Nelson. A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 1, 2023, at Georgetown Cemetery, 539 Cemetery Road, Pottsboro, Texas 75076.
