Robert Allen Obituary

Robert Dale Allen, age 55, entered into eternal life Tuesday, October 31, 2017 in Denison.
Mr. Allen was born August 7, 1962 in Fort Worth, Texas the son of Nathan Ray and Linda Kay (Conner) Allen. He graduated from Denison High School Class of 1980. Robert married the love of his life, Stacy Ballard October 27, 1985 in Denison, Texas. His greatest joys were his family, friends and his belief in Jesus Christ. He was his children and grandchildren's #1 fan in all of their endeavors. Robert will always be remembered for his kind and loving nature, a wonderful sense of humor and a deep sense of compassion. He was not only a father to his own family but, also became a father figure to any other child that needed him. Robert will be remembered for his time helping others, listening, and finding the absolute best in any trying situation. We will all miss his laughter, and his desire to eternally put someone else's needs before his own. Although his passing leaves a void in our lives he will live on forever in our hearts.
Robert leaves behind his beloved family, wife of 32 years, Stacy Allen of Denison, TX; children, Nicholas Allen and wife, Chelsea of Denison, TX; daughters, Brittany Lehnertz and husband, Preston of Gainesville, TX; Kierston Allen of Denison, TX; Amanda Allen of Denison, TX; Destiny Patterson of Denison, TX; Trey Patterson of Denison, TX and Niki Patterson of Denison, TX; grandchildren, Summer Allen, Ava Allen, Dillon Webb, Brooklyn Barnum, Kade Allen, Jada Patterson, Emma Allen, Elena Patterson, Bryson Jason, Paige Jason, Zyron Allen, Zachary Lehnertz; mother, Linda Allen Dunn of Denison, TX; brother, Johnny Allen and wife, Candy of Denison, TX; sister, Denean Brassfield and husband, Scott of Denison, TX; mothers and fathers in-law, Rick and Jan Conner of Telephone, TX and Ronnie and Linda Ballard of Denison, TX; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A truly good guy, Robert was a guy I met a good friend to my brother,
the only reason I remember him so well, was because of what an outstanding person I felt he was, from the moment I met him, thinking heres an honest person who would be difficult to judge badly as he really had few if any negative aspects, the good are always remembered.

I would like to say that in a very dark time of my life, Robert offered me light. I was involved in things that were not on the up and up. I will never forget robert asking me, " Kerri what leads you" he let me know there was no wrong answer, but it is important to know what one is led by. He never judged me for my actions or my jacked up thoughts, but always offered his love and knowledge. he had a special relationship with the lord. He never hesitated to go "into the trenches" to try and pull his people out, if they would let him. His words of "what leads you" resinates with me to this day. I have since cleaned my life up and have a beautiful family. There were a lot of talks with robert that played a role in my getting it together. I am eternally greatful for that time, not just for robert, but stacy as well, for letting robert be who he needed to be, she too never looked at me with judgement and seemed to always understand roberts role in this world...thank you my brother, i love you, and i know u are flying with the angels. enjoy you eternal life with the lord.
