Robert King Obituary

Robert L. "Bob" King of Celina passed away June 8, 2012 at the age of 76. He was born February 26, 1936 to Tracy Polk King and Dorothy Holford King in Celina, Texas. Bob married Carol Baldridge on November 10, 1956 in Dallas. He was a Mason for more than 50 years. Bob served on several boards in Collin County including the Soil and Water Conservation Board for 35 years, Celina School Board and the Heritage Federal Land Bank Board of Directors for 23 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church McKinney.

Bob is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Julie Needum and husband Tommy, Robert Lee King II, Jana Morrison and husband Hal, JoEllyn Hooker and husband David all of Celina; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Havens of Snider, Texas; brother, John M. King of Lake Kiowa, Texas and a host of other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tracy and Dorothy King, two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral Services will be held 4 p.m., Sunday, June 10, 2012 at First Baptist Church McKinney, 1615 W. Louisiana Street, McKinney, TX 75069 with Pastor Randy Morlan officiating. Interment is to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday beginning at 3 p.m. at the church.
