Steven Ruppel Obituary

DENISON - Funeral services for Steven Michael Ruppel will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 18 at Legacy Bible Church. The Rev. Garner Simpkins of the church will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eric Walker, Joe Bidel, Austin Bindel, Matt Charske, Jeff Waltemath, and Jacob Bindel. Mr. Ruppel, 35, passed away Tuesday, September 15 at Texoma Medical Center.

Steven was born March 6, 1980 in Sherman, Texas to Ron and Deborah (Sroufe) Ruppel. He graduated from Sherman High School and attended Grayson County College. On November 3, 2012, he and Timber Waltemath were married in Bonham. On March 31, 2014, Steven's life was forever changed when his daughter Paycin was born. Steven worked as a managing partner with is father at their Dairy Queen restaurant in Sherman.

Steven's passion was spending time with his family. He was also an avid fan of auto racing and enjoyed watching movies. Steven was raised in the Catholic church but recently had been attending Legacy Bible Church.

Steven is survived by his wife, Timber of Denison; daughter, Paycin of Denison; parents, Ron and Deborah Ruppel of Sherman; sister, Leslie Charske and husband, Matt of Sherman; grandmothers, Joan A. Sroufe of Sherman and Sachiko Ruppel of Corona, California; aunt, Sue Dolbee of Corona, CA; two uncles, David Sroufe and wife Andrea of Sherman and Donald Sroufe of Arlington; four nephews, Trey Brewer, Jacob Charske, Austin Bindel, and Aiden Waltemath; and five nieces, Avery Charske, Olivia Bindel, Evelyne Charske, Emma Bindel, and Brielle Waltemath. He was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Richard H. Ruppel and Donald E. Sroufe, and one aunt, Patricia Sroufe.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 17 at Legacy Bible Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Paycin Ruppel Education Fund at Landmark Bank. The register book can be signed online at http://www.waldofuneralhome.com
