Aeron Fry Obituary

Aeron Dale Fry

Dale Fry, 59, of Lake Stevens, died April 16, 2011.
Dale was born on December 3, 1951 in Fresno, CA. His family moved to Renton, WA when he was ten years old. He graduated from Hazen High School in 1970.
Dale served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1970 to 1976, stationed in Lakehurst NJ, Camp Pendleton, CA and Kaneohe, HI.
Dale is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lyn (Veneziano) Fry; his daughters, Jessica, Erin, and Jackie (Justin) Roth; his only grandson, Kaine A. Neff; and his brother, Rex Wardell.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Rosa and Aubrey Fry; and brothers, Loren and David.
Dale worked for Boeing Commercial Aircraft Company in Everett for 35 years, holding many positions and making many friends throughout that time. He attended Everett Community College and City University where he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business.
Dale found his passion in martial arts and studied in Europe, Hong Kong and the Philippines. Dale held a 3rd Degree Black Belt in combined Martial Arts from the International Bak Fu Martial Arts Association, a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Doce Pares Eskrima from GM Cacoy Canete from the Philippines, a Black Belt from Okinawa in Okinawan Kobudo and the Zen Sekai Bujitsu Kyokai International Headquarters. Dale trained with multiple Masters and GrandMasters from Asia. He was a lifetime member of the Universal Martial Arts Association, The Ving Tsun Athletic Association of Hong Kong, The World Kido Association and Chin Wu Association. Dale was a certified Arnis Instructor by the Department of Education of the Philippines. He had trained in multiple Martial Arts including Okinawa kendo Kobudo, Taekwondo Chang Moo Kwan, Choy La Fut, Eagle Claw, H sing-I Kung Fu, Kuntaw, Wing Chun Kung Fu, Dekiti Tirsia Siradas, Arnis and Tai Chi. His favorite styles were Okinawan Kobudo, Philippine stick and knife fighting, Wing Chun Kung Fu and Hsing-I (Mind Boxing).
Dale was a Martial Arts instructor for Tigers Kids at North Lake Middle School for five years and was excited and very proud of all his students' accomplishments.
Dale loved showing off his trophy room with at least 40 weapons that he knew how to use in martial arts training and tournaments, and his several earned awards, medals and certificates.
Dale loved his family, and was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. So many friends and family loved Dale and the strong man he was. He entertained us as a great storyteller and lived his life in a manner that provided the material. We will all miss him, his zest for life, his sense of humor and those stories we loved hearing.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life are being held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the North Lake Middle School, 2202 123rd Avenue NE, Lake Stevens, WA.

Dale, You will be missed, my friend.

I have been training with Dale in Tiger Kids for many years. His passion for martial arts was contagious. I imagine him practicing martial arts crouching tiger hidden dragon style… or is he waiting for his turn to spar with Morpheous in the Matrix?

My condolences to his family.

"Dale will be truly missed by all that he came in contact with from the students that he taught to the Grandmasters he trained from. He had stories that will live forever in the hearts and minds of those who knew him and called him friend, student & teacher. His passing has left a void which can never be filled for he was a great family man & friend to all."
