Barbara Patricia Ormsby

1931 - 2023

Barbara Patricia Ormsby, "Pat" passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 8th, 2023. She was born in New York City, December 18th 1931, beloved daughter of Mary and Paddy Ormsby. Pat followed her calling and became a nurse at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Manhattan, New York. She worked at the Hospital from 1954 until the mid-seventies. Pat lived a life of caring for others. She was always there to tend to the sick and injured. She provided end of life care for her mother, Mary, her father, Paddy, and her brother, Brendan. In the early eighties, Pat moved to the West Coast to be nearer her sisters and their families. In her new life, she developed many close friends. She was a devout member of the St. John's Catholic Mission in Mukilteo. She also volunteered for many years at Providence Hospital in Everett. Caring for others was Pat's calling. She enjoyed many good friendships and touched many lives as an aunt, sister, friend and nurse. She was preceded in death by her sister Kathleen Harrigan (Everett WA) Brothers Brendan and George Ormsby (New York NY) She is survived by her younger sister Eileen Ormsby (Olympia WA) and numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held at St. John's Catholic Mission, 829 3rd Street, Mukilteo on December 20th at 2pm.
