Charles Sicktich Obituary

Charles "Chuck" Sicktich, 85, passed away on December 8, 2013 in Arlington, Washington. He was born to John and Anna (Chernovic) Sicktich on March 17, 1928 in Smithmill, Pennsylvania. Charles graduated from Madera High School in 1946 and he began working on the family farm, in the coal mines and on the railroad. He married Anne Riefer in 1949 before moving to Everett in 1954 where he worked for the Scott Paper Company, retiring in the summer of 1988. Charles was a devoted father and an avid outdoors man who loved fishing, bird hunting and golf. He spent much of his retirement enjoying his grandchildren and the outdoors. Preceding Charles in death were his parents; brother, Walter Sicktich of Everett; and his son, Charles Sicktich of Kirkland. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Anne Sicktich, of Arlington; surviving children include sons, Jim (Jane) of Everett and Joe (Judy) of The Woodlands, Texas; and daughter, Mary Albert (Jack) of Arlington; grandchildren, David and Christine Sicktich son and daughter of Joe and Judy, along with Steven and Michael Albert, sons of Mary and Jack. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Mouillerat of Largo, Florida; brother, Dan (Helen) Sicktich of State College, Pennsylvania; and several nephews and a niece. We would like to thank the loving caregivers of Selah Family Home for their warm dedicated care. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, December 13, 2013 at the Chapel of Solie Funeral Home, 3301 Colby Avenue, Everett with graveside service to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

I remeber Charlie from Pulp Mill days at Scott in Everett - later I worked with Walter on No. 3 Paper Machine in the Paper Mill Department - many, many years ago for both. I'm very sorry to see that he has departed - all the best to his survivors.
