I was a close friend and neighbor during our 4th and 5th grade at Sabin school on Portland's near Northeast side. We moved back to Portland when we were in 7th grade, living on the Southwest side. Craig visited once, tried to step into a large closet, but instead stepped into a dark stairwell and tumbled into our basement. I attended the U of O as a Freshman, never knew Craig was also on campus, and we missed a great reunion. He was a great friend, obviously was a wonderful husband and father. That is the most important accomplishment. So sad to learn of his passing. Fred Thompson

Susan and family. So sorry to hear of Craig's passing. I met Craig twenty-one years ago while working at the Olympic Region Clean Air Agency (formerly Olympic Air Pollution Authority). Wow, what a writer and communicator! He was a valued co-worker. He seemed to always have a story to share. Take care! Blessings to the family. Lynn

Susan and family: I worked with Craig at the Everett Herald in the early '70s. He was a nice man. If I remember correctly, I brought one of your daughters to grandparents in Beaverton when I came to visit my parents. So sorry for your loss. Cathy Thomas

Susan and Family - I'm so sorry to hear of Craig's passing. I have great memories from when I worked at the Herald back in the 70's. I had a dead battery once and he helped jump start my car! Also, I had the pleasure of being at your wedding. Thoughts and prayers are with you all.
