Daniel Pederson Obituary

Sept. 16, 1926 - Nov. 3, 2017 Daniel Ingvald Pederson passed away November 3, 2017 at the age of 91. He was preceded in death by wife, Jean; and daughter Susan. He is survived by sons, Mark and Dale; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Daniel was born September 16, 1926 at Everett General Hospital and spent his entire life in Everett, WA. He attended Everett High School, entered the Army, then went to Everett Community College where he met Jean Hansen, whom he married in 1949. He worked at Weyerhauser for 35 years before retiring from the Weyerhaueser Kraft and Pulp Mill. Jean and Dan's retirement years were spent traveling in their motorhome to many places including Jackpot, NV, one of their favorites. Daniel was involved with all sports, including coaching his son, Mark in fastpitch softball. He and his wife were avid square dancers for many years and enjoyed playing cards with friends and family. He also enjoyed bowling, which he did twice a week until he was 89. Daniel was caregiver to his wife for many years when her health deteriorated, becoming cook and housekeeper as well as the outdoor chores. When she had to be moved to an adult home for her care, he was there at her side everyday with treats and company until she passed in May of 2015.
