David McMullin Obituary

David John McMullin was born on the island of Oahu on December 4, 1948. Just as he was when he entered the world, David was surrounded by those who loved him as he left it on September 22, 2024.

As a boy, David moved from Oahu to San Francisco. He was sad to leave the island but grew to love the city and spending time at Golden Gate Park. In 1979 David moved to Seattle and met the love of his life. He and Donna married in 1984 and spent nearly 45 years building a beautiful life together.

David enjoyed fishing, movies, reading, shooting, and nights at the casino but loved nothing more than his family. He was the oldest son of eight siblings and passed on the importance of strong family bonds to both his children. David was happiest when sharing the things he loved with others. Often this meant weekend trips to garage sales and thrift stores or listening to his endless music catalog loud enough to be heard through the walls. In his final years, he spent many days playing with his grandchildren and introducing them to the same hobbies he enjoyed with his two children.

David will be forever missed by his wife Donna; his daughter Devin, son-in-law Bee, and two grandchildren; his son Ripley, and Ripley's longtime partner Samantha. He is also survived by his brother and sisters Anna, Palmyra, Maria, Gerald, Eileen, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Fa soifua David. Rest in paradise.

A celebration of life will be held on October 12 at 2pm at Meadowdale Clubhouse 6801 N Meadowdale Rd in Edmonds.
