Doris Anderson Obituary

Doris Johanna Virgil Suhadolnik Anderson Dec. 19, 1931 - Feb. 26, 2016 Doris passed away Friday, February 26, 2016 at home under hospice care. A year ago at her annual wellness check, other than losing some weight (I did the same) she was her lovely self. In May, she became ill; a blood test showed a low blood count. From May until her death, it was a whirlwind of exams, doctors, treatments, hospital and hospice care. Doris and I (Jerry) had 30 years together. We retired in the 90's and built a home in Snohomish. Land was picked for its view of the river, mountains and Mt. Rainier. We traveled extensively, using every means: auto, pickup, cruises, airplanes, railroad, and hiking. It is a great world to see, visit, touch, dine and enjoy. Doris leaves her two boys, Craig (Jody), Kirt (Kim); grandchild, Nicole and "Marty" (Bichon) puppy that made her day. She always supported (and corrected) the family. Doris was born December 19, 1931 in Bottineau, N.D. (where?) in a different decade (sort of a surprise) from her sibling. The family moved to Prosser, Wash. in the 40's. Doris was a sharp dresser, always looking good; a perfect hostess and as smart as a dictionary. It is impossible to described how she is being missed, it's like being punched in the tummy and you can't get your breath. Let me add a note of many thanks to the hospice organization. If you want to donate to a well-run, beautiful helping hand in the deadly time of a loved one's life, donate to a hospice. The Everett Providence Hospice Organization left no stone unturned to comfort Doris and family. If this is an example of hospice care nationally, America has done something right for our life and health ending days. Doris requested no funeral or memorial service.

Jerry, even with tears in my eyes I can see and hear Doris.....a fond *very fond* memory. Not anyone was worthy of 'my' Jerry but knew right away upon meeting Doris - the most excellent compliment to a man who embraces life. Deep condolences to you and even Marty, her absence will be felt but try to remember/celebrate her life as long and healthy. Xxxooo and more, Amy and Joel

Jerry, Ted and I think and talk of the two of you often. You were the best neighbor's and friends a couple could have.

We just wished we could have seen her one more time!

Our love to you Jerry, if we can be of any help please let us know. 206-992-0039

I worked with Doris at the Shidler McBroom & Gates firm for many years. She was smart, fun and always, ALWAYS elegantly dressed. Years later, when my sister and her husband moved to the Kenwanda area, I discovered that Doris was Megan and Ted's next door neighbor. How wonderful it was to reconnect again! The world has lost an amazing woman. Michele Burgoyne
