Douglas Newell Obituary
Douglas lived in the Arlington area most of his life, and went all through to school in Arlington
Doug went into the Army right out of high school and was stationed in Germany for a few years.
Douglas never got married or had children. His hobbies included boxing, playing the piano, and he also worked helping out the less fortunate
Douglas loved the lord Jesus and lived for his faith.
When Douglas was growing up on the farm, he often said that he wished he had a library right next to him on the farm.
He gave his nephews Ryan and Miles two guitars and taught them how to play and they are still playing them.
He also taught his nephew Joshua how to box.
Douglas was employed after he got home from the army by Scott Paper/Kimbery Clark for his entire career, where he retired from at the typical age.
Douglas had a lot of friends there and very important to him .
Douglas was preceded in death by parents James and Virginia Newell. And his nephews Billy and Jimmy Newell. He is survived by his siblings Jim Newell (Cindy Newell,) Kathleen DeVerna, Collen Newell, Shelly Newell, Jeff Newell (Anita Newell)
And Nephews Myles and Ryan Deverna, Joshua Newell. And great nephews Kevin Newell and Justice Newell.
At his request there will be no services

Dear Jimmy,
I knew you told me of Doug's health issues as you know we all grew up in the same many areas and shared childhood togetherness.That is a good photo of him. I see a lot of you in that photo. Condolences to you and the entire Newell family.

I so sorry to read of Doug's passing.I worked with Doug for a lot of years down at Scott Paper/Kimberly Clark.Doug was always a pleasure to be around.I'm so sorry for your loss.My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sorrow.
