Edward Jackson Bowling
Edward joined the Lord at the grand age of 90.
Born to parents James Edgar Bowling and Cathleen Wells Bowling in Knoxville, TN, Edward married Claribel Mallory and had two children, Mavis and Charles Bowling. They lived locally while raising their children. Edward lived in Everett, WA the majority of his life. His sharp mind weaves many a tale of his life's experiences providing him a jack of all trade lifestyle which never left him bored. As a young man he learned electrical by setting up the big tent for the circus for a free ticket and a small wage. He was able to travel and see something of the world. Edward was a very adoring father to Mavis, and suffered a great tragedy with the loss, due to a premature death, of his only son, Charles Bowling in 1966. His well known love of movie production had him exploring every asset of movie making. From behind the camera he fulfilled a dream by producing the film, Alaska. His vast knowledge of film and the workings of equipment would lead him to help with the projection cameras at the Thunder Bird Drive Inn, originally owned by his daughter Mavis. Edward built planes for Boeing and later in life really had a lot of fun being an actor himself, doing commercials and advertising. He would proudly show you the many roles he played in ads or was quick to point out commercials on TV that he appeared in. Our very own Celebrity (he will be missed)!
Claribel and Charles and brother Benjamin predeceased Edward.
He is survived by daughter Mavis Rogge and daughter-in-law Virginia Bowling; granddaughters, Robin, Bunny and grandson-in-law Tom Hanson, LeAnna and grandson-in-law Don Wolden, and Lori Rogge Keeler; grandson Mark and granddaughter-in-law Brenda Rogge; great grandchildren, Brandon, Brad, Brent, Breanna, Joshua, Rachel, Tommy, Chad, Joey, Rene, Rayme, and Nolan; brother William; sisters, Birdie May and Mary Lou; and good friend Robert.
