Edward Reed Obituary

Edward Delmon Reed, Jr.

Del Reed died July 23, 2005, after a short, intense fight with cancer.
The only child of Edward, Sr. and Vina Reed, Del was born in San Jose, California, November 24, 1937.
Del joined the USAF in 1955 and served proudly until 1959. It was this service in the Air Force that found Del stationed in the Northwest where he met his wife and started a family. Del graduated from the UW and enjoyed a 35-year career as an electrical engineer with Boeing. Del was also an avid golfer and a master carpenter. More than anything, Del was a good friend, father, grandfather, and husband. He will be missed.
Del is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Linda; son-in-law, Jerry Weir; grandchildren, Kirsten and Brendan; and son, Mike.
A special note of gratitude and thanks to Dr. Tim O'Connor and his staff at the Everett Clinic for all of their excellent care and efforts.
Services are not planned and the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations in Del's honor be made to the John Flynn Cancer Center in Everett, (425) 258-7500.
