Frank Anderson of Everett, WA Died January 8, 2025, at his home in Everett surrounded by family members singing his favorite gospel hymns. Frank was born October 8, 1938, in Hartford, WA (Lake Stevens) to Fred and Evelyn Anderson. At the age of 2 Frank's family moved to Everett where Frank attended Washington Elementary School (now Washington Oakes Retirement Community), North Junior Middle School and Everett High School, Class of 1957. Frank attended Northwest College in Kirkland, WA where he met then married Ramona Crogan in June of 1959. Frank and Ramona lived and worked in the greater Seattle area quickly growing their family with the addition of three children. Eventually Frank moved his household back to Everett at which time a fourth child was added to the family. Over the years the size of the Anderson family ebbed and flowed as they opened their home to a total of six foster children. In 1966 Frank was accepted into the Fire Department Academy receiving his certification as a Firefighter. While serving his community on the Everett Fire Department Frank pursued advanced training becoming one of Everett's first Firefighter to receive an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-A) certificate through the collaboration between Seattle Fire Department, Harborview Medical Center, and the University of Washington. Due to an injury Frank retired from the Everett Fire Department in 1982. His passion for the fire department and love for his fellow firefighters held strong throughout the remainder of Frank's life. Once retired Frank became a small business owner which give him insight into the challenges of the small business community in Everett. In 1989 Frank was elected to the Everett City Council. His positions during his twelve and a half years on the council included council member and council president. In 2002 Frank was elected Mayor of Everett. Frank served on multiple local and national committees, foundation boards and was a member of Everett and Omak Rotary Club. Frank was a lifetime member of Bethany Christian Assembly (formerly Bethany Temple) serving as a board member and in various ministries of the church. Once completing his civil service in Everett Frank and Ramona moved to Okanogan County, WA to fulfill Frank's retirement dream. In 2019 Ramona passed away, Frank returned to Everett to be with his children and extended family. Frank made new friends easily, enjoyed old friends and cherished his growing family. Frank will be remembered for his leadership, sense of humor, passion for Gonzaga basketball and Mariners Baseball, commitment to service, kind heart, smile, and his unwavering faith. Frank was preceded in death by his wife Ramona Anderson; parents Fred and Evelyn Anderson; sister Evelyn June Haack; brother Fred (Fritz) Anderson; granddaughters Kaitlin Ann Whitfield and Randi Lynn Salmon; grandson Conner Webb. Met Frank and Ramona at church in Omak. Got to know them at the church and enjoyed them as awesome Christians that Loved the LORD. Later I worked on his water softener and learned a lot working on his softener. They had a dog Ike we all had a great time with. As the years went by I got learn more about them and Franks past adventures. I was also on the volunteer fire department in Omak. We talked about experiences. I admired his integrity and accomplishments. Later I learned the many things we had in common. Shooting and fishing and many more. When Frank was selling everything to move back home and I knew I wanted things of Franks to remember one of the greatest men I have ever known Bar None. So I bought his fishing gear some tools i use often and he gave a Bible and some memorabilia from the time he was in the fire department. A true man of GOD that I will remember the rest of my days.

I'll always remember Frank laughing at me when I was a Probie. He had an easy laugh and funny comments. It was very enjoyable visiting him at his store on Broadway. He will be missed.
