Jacqueline Barrett Obituary

Jacqueline Mae Barrett
June 19, 1949 - April 25, 2012

Jackie Barrett was born on June 19, 1949 in Boring, OR, to Harold Alton Lunan and Glendoris Jean Lunan. She passed away peacefully on April 25, 2012 in Edmonds, WA, from complications brought on by Multiple Sclerosis.
She is preceded in death by her mother; father; step-father, Warren Jones; and first husband, Lloyd West.
She is survived by her sister, Coralee Lunan Anderson; by her brothers, James Lunan, Ronald Lunan, and Dan Lunan; by her children, Steven West, Sandra Bonicillo, William Barrett, and Kathleen Ard; as well as her eleven grandchildren.
Jackie loved to be where she could be social and around a lot of people, spending time working in the hospitality industry, as a waitress and eventually managing a grill; as well as working in her children's schools, volunteering in preschools and schools in the area, and working at Fred Meyer as a door greeter. She enjoyed being active, playing in softball leagues and bowling leagues with her friends. She was also a devout member of her church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since 1995 and always found joy working with the youth. She had a very strong testimony and love for the Lord. To those that knew her, Jackie was always happy, generous, and kind. She never let life bring her down and always had a smile on her face, even for a stranger.
A celebration of her life will be held on May 12, 2012 at 1 p.m at the LDS church, 11001 Harbour Pointe Boulevard Mukilteo, WA 98275. She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Floral Hills Cemetery at a later date.

I am very sorry to hear about the loss of Jackie. I met her when there was a group of friends and friends of friends who wanted to form several bowling teams and join a league together. There was a lot of laughter and good times. After bowling ended we formed a softball team and played in a league. Jackie always seemed to have a smile on her face and have fun doing whatever she did. I have not seen her for several years but I have fond memories of her. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. Dennis Smith.

Hi family of Jackie. Sister, brothers, sandy, cady, will, and steven and all grandkids. I have known jackie for many years since softball, bowling, when she was married to Devon, and loved her much. Was a fun, strong woman, and her laugh was contagious. She survived MS for many years and always came back from periods where we were in doubt if she would make it, but the lord was ready for Jackie, we love her. Sheila Dwyer
