Janet Eastman Ross Janet Eastman Ross, age 87, a nearly eighty-year resident of Marysville, died peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on July 7, 2024.
Janet was born May 21, 1937 in Chicago, IL to Rudy and Winnie Eastman. Shortly after their arrival in Washington State in 1945, she joined and became a lifelong member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Marysville.

She married Glen Ross on April 14, 1956 and daughter Laurie Ross was born in 1965. Laurie meant the world to Janet, as did her family and friends.
Beginning in 1956, Janet worked both full-time and part-time for Chaffee's Correct Apparel for Women, known to longtime residents as Chaffee's, at its location on Colby Avenue in Everett, WA. She was especially proud of her work in the Chaffee's office and to be at the store on its last day of service, March 31st, 1983.
Janet was preceded in death by husband Glen; parents Rudy and Winnie Eastman; and father- and mother-in-law Raymond and Lillian Ross. She is survived by daughter Laurie of Everett, WA (Karri Buckman); sister and brother-in-law Sandra Reed and Joe Reed; nephew Rod Reed (Kristin Timm), all of Marysville, WA; niece Melanie Reed (Edward Trumbule) of Seattle, WA; cousin Vicki Baunsgard of Camano Island, WA; and many other family members, friends and neighbors. Over the years, Janet loved wonderful pets, including many dear dogs and cats.
Admired for her character and for her intellect, Janet was an avid gardener and a lifelong learner. She was dedicated to other people, to her home, and to her yard.
Janet will be missed greatly by everyone who knew her. Her family wishes to thank the committed and thoughtful staff at Bethany of the Northwest at Silver Lake.
