Joan Wilson Obituary

Joan was born in Billings Montana on May 7, 1936 and passed away peacefully on November 17, 2022 at the age of 86.
Joan was an extremely talented painter and has an impressive collection of Oils, Acrylic and Watercolor Paintings. She loved to travel and camp, spend time on the Sauk River in Darrington and was lovingly involved raising her triplet grandchildren. She was very involved and active in her Christian Faith and a Seeker of the Lord since she was saved in her early 30's in Bellingham.
Joan graduated from Sultan High School and married Harold Haga (who predeceased her in 1993) in 1956 and had two children, Lori and David Haga (Dave predeceased her suddenly in 2021). She lived in Everett, Bellingham and finished raising her family in Shoreline WA. She attended and worked at Shoreline Community College and then worked in Grant Accounting at the University of Washington where she retired.
She married John M. Wilson in 2006 and they lived in Bullhead City AZ, Sumner and Lacey WA before finally settling at the Crista Ministries community of Cristwood Park near King's High School in Shoreline, WA. Joan and John loved to travel in their Motorhome and were very active in their Christian Faith spending much time distributing Gideon Bibles to Pacific Lutheran University and other Nursing School campuses.
Joan is survived by her spouse John Minton Wilson, twin brother, John Price, daughter Lori Haga Kratzer, grandchildren Miranda, Matthew and Mackenzie Kratzer, sister in law's Dee Price and Jean Quall, brother in law Jim Wilson, daughter Cynthia Wilson Bjork and son John Ray Wilson.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday December 1, 2022 at 11am at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, 1272 State Route 530 NE, Darrington, WA.
Crista Ministries Cristwood Park in Shoreline will be having a reception in her honor at a date yet to be determined. The family would like to thank the Crista and Providence Hospice Caregivers for their loving support.
