May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Mike and I had numerous hours together on the flight line and I don't remember one bad one. He was a pleasure to be around as a fellow tech as well as a supervisor. From one Marine to one Sailor...Semper Fi Mike and rest forever in peace now.

Joanie,

I am so sorry to hear about Mike's passing. He was a very nice man and I know Jerry thought a lot of him. I pray God will comfort you and in time may your sadness be replaced with many happy memories of your life together. He will always be in your heart. Jerry was at the gates of heaven welcoming him...oh my what trouble can they get into. I can see their grins now sharing stories. :-) You are in my thoughts especially during this holiday season. Take good care.

Sincerely

Joanie, Connie and I are deeply sorry for your loss, we both thought so much of you both. I have many fond memories of Mike, but two really stand out for me. First is the wonderful time we all had on our Hong Kong trip and poor Mike sitting in the only seat with the broken seat back snubber all the way home, around 16 hours as I recall, with no complaint. The other was his calm and steady leadership as General Supervisor for the delivery of the first five UPS package freighters in 1995. He set the standard for others to follow and I was so proud of how he ran the shop. I carry many other fond memories of Mike and that's a great honor for me. May the fact that Mike was so highly regarded by so many, bring you some small measure of comfort. May God bless you, Joanie. Gary Pugh

Joannie, I'm so sorry to hear of this loss. Mike has a warm and happy place in my memories of him. He was often a beacon of stability and sanity in the sea of madness we oft endured on the flightline. One of my favorite coworkers.

Dear Joanie and Family,
I was deeply saddend to hear of Mike's passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to you at this most difficult time. Mike and I delivered many a 747 together, and I will cherish those memories as long as I live! He was an absolute joy to work with and I dearly enjoyed his fabulous sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A number of times while Mike was a Boeing Everett flightline Mfg Supv (& General Supv.), I had the pleasure of being one of several Inspectors to work with him and his crew(s). I have many fond memories of his wry wit and his soft spoken sage advice. He never made me feel stupid for asking a question. He always made time for me to offer candid advice. The pressure cooker we lived & worked in caused me to marvel at his mostly calm good natured demeanor.
To his family I say the world has lot a good man. I will continue to have fond memories of Mike & miss him.
May God bless us all.

Dear Joanie,

So sorry to read of this in the Everett, Herald online. We have lived in Nampa for over 3 years now so have not been totally current with the news.

I assume you have been living in AZ for several years as well. We have some snowbird friends that live in Mesa and if all goes well we will visit them this winter.

You had some wonderful years and should think of them often. Mike was a wonderful man and a friend to all.We share your sorrow.

Love, Jim and Cathy
