I sure am going to miss her too. I´m so grateful to have been able to see her a few times over the last few years at Uncle Wayne & Aunt Ruth´s
I remember the Barker family softball games in Darlington when we were little. They are some of my favorite memories. I remember we also had a few games at Garfield park in Everett. Aunt Coochie was an amazing player and always so sweet and kind to me. I remember one time in Great Grandma & Great Grandpa´s yard us kids were practicing for the softball game and I hit Christopher in the middle of the forehead with the bat. His forehead swelled into a goose egg very fast. Grandma Barker was watching from inside the kitchen and I felt so terrible that everyone was going to be mad at me. I remember I was crying and went and hid by the fire wood stack, Aunt Coochie found me and gave me a big hug and told me it was going to be okay
That small gesture of love and kindness has stuck with me my whole life. I love you Aunt Coochie, I can only imagine the softball games happening
In heaven right now... I´m sure your glove is made of gold
