Patricia Byrd Obituary

Patricia R. Byrd

Patricia R. Byrd passed away at age 74 on July 4, 2007, at the Warm Beach Senior Community, Stanwood, Washington. Captain John H. Byrd, Jr., USGG (retired), her husband for the past 48 years, was at her side, as he is also a resident of Warm Beach.

They were residents of Edmonds, WA, for 30 years. Pat was an accomplished vocalist and member of numerous choirs, including as a soloist for the Air Force Symphony at a number of performances at our nation's capitol. She was also active in Coast Guard and church groups throughout her life.
She is survived by two nieces; a nephew; and cousins on the East Coast, in addition to her husband.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 22, 2007, at the Warm Beach Senior Community in Stanwood.

We will always remember Pat as a lady with a wonderful voice and a good sense of humor. She had that wonderful story about her encounter with the bears in Kodiak. She will be missed by all her many Coast Guard friends.
