Pauline Lindstrom Obituary

Pauline Doll Olin Lindstrom 1921-2021 Pauline Lindstrom, 100, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2022, in Everett, WA. She was born on August 20,1921 in Almont, North Dakota, to Joseph and Anna Doll. Pauline married Alvin Olin in 1939, and they celebrated 55 years of marriage until his death in 1994. In 2012 she married Chester Lindstrom. Pauline grew up on the prairie in North Dakota. She was a farmer's wife, and raised four children on a farm with no electricity or running water. She taught her children the value of hard work. In 1952 they moved from the farm to Hamilton, Montana, where they lived until 1967 when they relocated to Everett, WA. This allowed them to be near their four sons, who owned construction businesses in the area. Pauline worked at Olson's Foods in Silver Lake for over 20 years. She was talented at customer service and enjoyed connecting to her coworkers and customers. Pauline stayed in touch with the Olson family and her coworkers, until shortly before her passing. Chester and Pauline met in 2000, and they were married on April 7, 2012 They spent many happy years together traveling, and spent time in Yuma, Arizona. She and "Chet" enjoyed the casino, as well as family and friends. Chet passed on July 5, 2017. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; husband Alvin, husband Chester, adopted son, Jim Lundstrom, son Lowell Olin, and grandsons Ryan Richards, and Scott Olin. Her sisters, Minnie, Eva, Florence, and her brothers Ed and Al, also preceded her in death. She leaves behind her brother Arnie Doll (Nell), Sons Glen Olin (Wendy), Roger Olin (Gale), Jim Olin (Amy), and daughter Cheryl Richards (Tom). Grandchildren left behind include Shane Olin, Shaun McPherson (Paul), Lisa Greisz, Greg Olin, Kathy Robison (Walter), Julie Davison (Alex), Daniel Olin (Kelly), Eric Richards (Karen), Sienna Kittleman, 18 great-grandchildren, and fifteen great-great-grandchildren. Chet's daughters Donna Stewart (Jim), and Jan Kelleher (Tim) also survive her. "Pauline, Sally, Polly, The Ma, Mother, Aunt, Grandma, and Friend", will be remembered and treasured by many for her generosity and warmth. Her family would like to thank the staff at Sunrise View Villa for their excellent care. Also, we extend a special thank you to Pauline's niece Joanne, and stepdaughter Donna, who were especially kind and thoughtful in the last years. Her granddaughter Lisa was also deeply involved with her grandmother, a woman she thought of as "Mom". Burial will be at Cypress Cemetery in Everett, WA Saturday March 26, at 10:00 AM. Celebration of Life follows at Evergreen Cemetery at 11:00. Pauline will never be forgotten. I knew her and Alvin when they lived in Hamilton Montana. Their son Jimmy was my best friend. They left when I was in the third grade. Pauline not only worked at Olson's but at the Fairway Market in Hamilton where she was a valued employee. While reminiscing one day I looked up Pauline using various internet databases. Believe it or not her telephone number was published, and I was able to contact her. Her mind at about 100 years was as sharp as it ever was. We were talking and someone hung us up and I don't blame them. They undoubtedly thought I was a scammer. It was great reconnecting with Pauline. I will never forget her kindness and the love she gave to me and Jimmy. I would love it if someone from the family could reach out to me. I have many stories of Jimmy and I as we grew up.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Barb and Jim knew Pauline well from when she worked at Olson's. It was the only placed they shopped, and always chose her checkout line. Pauline's sons built their home in Mill Creek area. Barb still lives there, and it is a well built house. One of the first ones they built.
Pauline will be remembered as a strong and kind person.

Roger and Glen, we fondly remember both your Mom and Dad as they became like part of the family through the construction of our two homes in Everett and Snohomish. We have fond memories of their help with making our new houses our home. Thank you for sharing them with us. We send our condolences!

I used to chat with Pauline everytime I shopped at Olson's at Silver Lake. She was the aunt to one of my best friends Phyllis Doll.
