Mr Jensen was my home room and history teacher when I was in the 7th grade at Lakewood. Everybody loved him. I used to babysit his kids. Hugs to his family. Sad to hear.

I will always remember Dick as my Washington State History teacher - he taught us so much, especially about the rich history of Lakewood. His storytelling was always entertaining, and of course, who could forget when he´d surprise us by popping out his glass eye - always good for a laugh!
There was never a Lakewood event where Dick and Marlys weren´t present. So many wonderful memories from gatherings at the Lake Ki Yacht Club - Opening Day celebrations over the years are some of my most treasured moments.
I´ll never go fishing without thinking of the days spent on the lake with the Jensen clan.
You all hold a special place in my heart. Sending thoughts, prayers, and so much love to you.
Rest in peace, Dick - and give Marlys a big hug for us all.

So sad and sorry for the loss of this great man. Mr Jensen was one of a kind....my teacher at Lakewood and lived right around the corner- he nicknamed me "fisherwoman" because we would always see each other fishing opening day on Lake Ki. He was always ready and willing to welcome you and share his beautiful home on the lake. He always laughed at my sometimes inappropriate jokes! Dick was above anything else a respected, kind, and loving father, husband and friend- he will be remembered forever- my love to the entire Jensen family
