Mr Scheldrup was my 5th grade teacher at Lake Stickney Elementary. He was my all time favorite teacher. He was such kind man and treated all the kids in class like they mattered. I was a shy kid, and he made school safe and learning fun. He made a lasting impression on me. We need more great teachers like him. Rest in peace Mr. Scheldrup.

I first met Bob while teaching with his wonderful wife, Carolyn, during the original opening of Eisenhower Middle School. Later, about 1981, is when I had the pleasure of really getting to know Bob as we worked together to redesign and build a new deck for the Scheldrup home. I truly enjoyed Bob's enthusiasm and wry sense of humor as we worked together on that project! His love for family and dogs were often the subjects of our conversations, and it was evident that he was a very caring person! Thank you, Bob, for those great memories!
Also, thank you, Carolyn, for the years you and I worked together! They still remain some of my favorites! You taught me so much about the "teaching process" that I hadn't known before; and (over the years) came to appreciate more than you can imagine!

Mrs. Scheldrup, so sorry for your loss of your husband of 61 years. I remember you as one of the wonderful teachers I had at Eisenhower. Thank you both for choosing to be educators. Between you and your husband, you expanded the minds of an entire generation of Snohomish County kids. Warm regards to you and your children.
